Viola V. Herbold, 89, of Hopewell Junction, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 3, 2015.
Born on October 5, 1925 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Bertram Bieber and Dorothy Cohn. Viola worked as an operator for New York Telephone before marrying William Herbold on April 2, 1951. For most of her life, she was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, sewing and her needlework.
Her husband, William, predeceased her on February 14, 2013. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Gail; and her sons-in-law, James Eschenberg and Robert Parker Henshaw. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Henshaw; and six grandchildren, James Eschenberg and wife Sherry, John and Jenny Eschenberg, Dawn Hamilton and husband Leonard, Wendy DeBenedictus and husband Brian, and Robert Henshaw Jr. and wife Kerrin. Viola was "Granny" to thirteen great-grandchildren, Rachael, Ashley, William, Ryan, Shawn, Abigail and Fiona DeBenedictus, Marissa, Chloe, Paige and Lainey Henshaw, and Elizabeth and Leonard Hamilton Jr.
