Virginia Menchen's Obituary
Virginia Claire Menchen, 60, a long-time area resident and formerly of Yonkers, died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on August 10, 1955, she was the daughter of Loretta Piekarski Menchen of Hopewell Junction and the late George F. Menchen. Virginia proudly served our country in the New York National Guard.
In addition to her mother, Virginia is survived by her siblings, Gary, William, Ralph, Valerie and Anne Marie Menchen, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1992 and her brother Russell Menchen in 1969.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 1-4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
