Virginia Mowbray, 95, an area resident since 1990, died on August 28, 2018 in the comfort of her home, thanks to the care of Hudson Valley Hospice. She previously lived in Peekskill, NY.

Born in Peekskill in 1923, Virginia was the daughter of the late Leonard and Elsie Mason. On November 15, 1941 in Peekskill, she married Douglas P. Mowbray who predeceased her in 1988.

Virginia was the mother of seven. She is survived by three sons, John (Darlene), Michael and David Mowbray; and three daughters, Sandra (Paul) Bell, Linda Mowbray and Bette (Charlie) MacNeil. Her son, Douglas R. Mowbray, predeceased her in 1966. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild (soon to be two great, great grandchildren); and her brother, Arthur Mason. Her two brothers, Leonard and Chester, predeceased her.
The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice, and Joel, Anne, Dorinda and Tom for all of their support and care.
