Beacon – Virginia DeLuca, 91, an area resident since 1956 and formerly of Brooklyn, died peacefully at her home on December 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Brooklyn on November 23, 1930, she was the daughter of Cosmo and Gabriella (LaPosta) DiTore. Virginia worked as a medical secretary at Highland Hospital and for Dr. Choi and Dr. Lee in Fishkill. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, and a member of the Marian Guild.
On January 20, 1952 in Brooklyn, Virginia married the love of her life, Nicholas DeLuca. Together, they shared 70 loving years of marriage. In addition to her husband, Virginia is also survived by her children, Nicholas DeLuca and his partner Lee Anne Kelly, Linda Owen and her husband Timothy, David DeLuca and his wife Cookie; her granddaughters, Tina Owen and Michelle Ospino and her husband Ricardo; and her great-grandchildren, Brianna Winstel, Nicholas Lentini, John Cobb Jr., and Rosario Malanga. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony DiTore.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
