Mrs. Vivian U. Lantz, 90, of Old Smith Road, Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Friday February 18 2022 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Vivian was born on November 17, 1931, in Millbrook, NY.

Vivian married Frederic D. Lantz on March 27, 1955 in Poughquag, NY, who predeceased her. He was the love of her life. She was the daughter of John Woodin and Mildred Wirsch.

Vivian is survived by one sister, Sandy Gregory, Tivoli, and two brothers, Richard (Marge) Woodin, Florida and Ronald (Linda) Woodin, Illinois and one sister-in-law, Patricia Popson, NJ. She is survived by her three children, a son, Frederic D. (Mona) Lantz, Delaware, and two daughters, Donna (Hank) Steck, NH, and Dawn Lantz, at home. Vivian is also survived by her grandchildren, Briana, Jonathan, Zachary, Cori Rose, Alyssa, Erica and Renee, four great grandchildren, Izabella, Audrey, Jonathan and Jessie-Rae, and several nieces and nephews.

For most of her life, Vivian was a homemaker and child care provider. She was known to all as "Aunt Viv" or "mom". She loved all of "her" kids and her animals.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 20th from 1-4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21st at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Hopewell Cemetery.
