Vladimir Ivanovich Bezrutchenko, a Wappingers Falls resident since 2004, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, October 27, 2017.He was 77.
Son of the late Ivan A. and Clavdia (Gubanova) Bezrutchenko, he was born in Pervomaisk, Turkmenistan on August 15, 1940. He studied science, and earned a doctorate in Physics from the University of Turkmenistan, where he later became a reputable and well-loved professor.
Throughout his career, he worked as an industrial engineer for several companies in Europe and the United States. After moving to the United States in 2004, he worked for I.B.M. at their facility in East Fishkill and later for Mastercraft in Newburgh. He retired in August due to his illness.
On December 12, 1964, he married Lyudmila D. Urbach in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Mrs. Bezrutchenko survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Vladimir is also survived by his daughter, Natalia Ferrier & her husband Dennis of Wappingers Falls.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, October 30 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church, 1500 Route 376, Wappingers Falls. Entombment will be in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
