WAPPINGERS FALLS - Wendy A. Lanza Savastano, 60, a lifelong area resident, died on September 1, 2025 at her home.

Born in New Rochelle on August 25, 1965, she was the daughter of Margaret (Hurley) Kopyscianski and Paul Kopyscianski. Wendy had been employed as a medic with the former Sloper Willen Ambulance Company. She then dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. Wendy was very involved in the gaming community.

On November 8, 2003 at Bear Mountain, Wendy married Anthony Savastano who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughters, Tracy, Candace and Mandy; her grandchildren, Enya, Lillianna, Jordan and Dinah; her mother, Margaret Kopyscianski; and her father, Paul Kopyscianski. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Joseph Lanza, in 2018.

Memorial donations may be made in Wendy's name to Planned Parenthood.
