Wendy L. Stewart, 50, a resident of Marlboro since 2004 and formerly of Wappingers Falls, died on Monday, February 15, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born on March 26, 1959 in Brainerd, MN, she was the daughter of Walter Hehn and Geraldine Eppinger, and the adopted daughter of Harold Junge.  She had been employed as a caregiver for Rehab Programs, Inc. in Poughkeepsie.  She was a member of the Fishkill Nazarene Church and the Lighthouse Youth Program.

In September of 2005 at the Fishkill Nazarene Church, Wendy married John Stewart who survives at home.  She is also survived by her children, Donna Gauerke of Berlin, WI, Derek Gauerke of West Milwaukee, WI, Allison Gauerke of Poughkeepsie and Bradley Gauerke of Wauwatosa, WI; her granddaughters, Julie and Natalie Hastings; her sister, Jean Hehn; her brothers, Joe and Jeff Hehn; her former husband, Ron Gauerke of Wauwatosa, WI;  and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Francis Hospital, 241 North Road, Poughkeepsie. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.

Memorial donations may be made to the Fishkill Nazarene Church, 953 Main Street, Fishkill, NY 12524 for their youth programs.
