Poughquag- Wilfredo Medina, a resident of Poughquag, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and caring family on July 16, 2024. He was 76 years old.

Wilfredo was born in Puerto Rico on November 1, 1947, the son of Pedro and Frances "Conchita" Medina.

For over 30 years he worked as a Technician for Mercedes Benz in NYC, NY.

Wilfredo was a devout man of faith, known for his unwavering dedication, loyalty, and tireless work ethic. His love for his family and friends was boundless and fierce, and he touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness. He had a special affection for animals, especially his beloved dog Charlie, who was his constant companion. Wilfredo was a jack of all trades, always ready with a helping hand. His sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wilfredo is survived by his loving wife Solange Medina, his children: Willie Medina Jr. and his wife Christina, Lorraine Scott and her husband Alex, Frances Medina and her wife Sara, Junior Roman, Carol Quattlebaum and her husband Simuel, Denise Lamberty, Annibal Lamberty and his wife Gemma. In addition, he is survived by 16 loving and adoring grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Nelson Medina, his sisters Judy Medina and Blanche Medina Napoletano and his niece Griselle Gines.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, and his brothers Peter and Manny Medina.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 19, 2024, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A service will take place in the funeral home at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery.
