Obituary

Willard V. "Pop" Puzza, 91, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 2002 and formerly of Cleveland, OH, died on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his home.
Born in Eynon, PA on May 14, 1922, he was the son of Joseph and Victoria Ciepukajtis Puzza. Pop proudly served our country in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was employed as a machinist for General Motors in Cleveland for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church in Wappingers Falls. He was also a member of the Dutchess Cruisers and the Worm Burners Golf League.
Pop was predeceased by his wife, Martha Stawisky Puzza in 1990. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Kristina Puzza of Hopewell Junction; and his grandchildren, Alex and Rachel.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be at 7pm with Rev. Alexis Vinogradov officiating. Interment with military honors will be on Wednesday at St. Michael's Cemetery, Jermyn, PA.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation, Inc. or St. Gregory the Theologian Church.
