William T. "Bill" Duncan, a lifelong resident of Fishkill, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was 82.

Son of the late George and Helen (Lent) Duncan, he was born in his family home on May 8, 1942. In 1960, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1963. He was a retired Technical Writer for IBM East Fishkill, where he worked for over 30 years.

On May 9, 1964, he married the love of his life, Nancy Hamm at the Fishkill Methodist Church. Nancy survives at home in Fishkill, NY.

Bill was a homebody who loved mother nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed taking care of his home and land where he lived his entire life. He and Nancy would often go on rides and adventures throughout the beautiful Hudson Valley. But more than anything, William loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children April Straus of Tigard, Oregon and Keith Duncan of Fishkill, NY; his grandchildren Will Velez, Travis Straus, Cole Straus, Autumn Straus, Torilyn Duncan, Amanda Barley, Jake Duncan, Michael Duncan and Alexa Duncan; his great-granddaughter, Georgiana Barley; as well as several nieces & nephews and many other loving relatives & friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was also predeceased by his daughter, Susan in 2016 and his siblings, Robert Duncan, Esther Scanland, Jane Muller, George Duncan and Patricia Darling.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Service will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's name to the Rombout Fire Company, Fishkill, NY or a favorite charity of your choice.
