Obituary

POUGHKEEPSIE - William "Bill" Fidanza, 93, Passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in New York City on November 3, 1925, William was the son of the late Ralph and Caroline (Pinella) Fidanza.

Dubbed as the "Mayor" of Jackson Drive, Bill and his family have lived here since 1959, when he joined IBM as a systems engineer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anne, of 65 years and two lovely daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Fidanza and her husband Jon Levine of San Francisco, CA and Caroline Fidanza and her partner Doug MacDonald of NYC as well as niece and nephew, Linda and Richard DeLeo; nephews, Richard and Raymond Fidanza; and many other nieces and nephews.

A native of The Bronx, Bill was a member of "The Greatest Generation", having served with great pride in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 -8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 11 am at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Falls, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls followed by interment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery with military honors.
