HOPEWELL JUNCTION – William D. Lowery, 74, passed away on September 26, 2023 at home. An area resident since 1982, he formerly lived in Carmel, NY.

Born in Port Chester, NY on December 16, 1948, William was the son of the late Edmund and Shirley (Dulaney) Lowery. He worked as an electrical engineer until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. William was a former member of Hopewell Hose Fire Company of the East Fishkill Fire District.

William is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Christine Lowery of Staatsburg, NY; his daughter and son-in-law Amy (née Lowery) and Kevin McGuckian of Wellington, FL; his grandchildren, Jake Lowery and Kevin and Victoria McGuckian; his siblings and their spouses, Edmund T. and Boonsong Lowery III and Elizabeth and Roy Delanoy; and his nephews and niece, Jesse Lowery, Amanda Gamester and Erik Delanoy. William was predeceased by his nephew Timothy Lowery.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday, October 6th from 5 – 8 pm with a funeral service beginning at 8pm.
