Fishkill - William J. Pucher better known as Bill or Pooch, was born on December 27, 1937 in Peekskill New York. He passed away on May 1, 2022 and he was 84 years old.

He married his high school sweetheart Joan Parkinson on January 7, 1956 and they were married for 66 years. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Margret Pucher.

William served in the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA for four years and after his service he and his wife, Joan returned to New York. William went to work for Central Hudson Gas & Electric for 38 years before retiring.

William is survived by his wife Joan Pucher of Fishkill New York, his two sons, Bob Pucher of Beacon, New York and John Pucher of Falls Church, Virginia. Three grandchildren, Bob Pucher, Shane Pucher, and Colleen Malouf and five great grandchildren. William is also survived by his brother John Pucher of Providence, Rhode Island.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A service will take place on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home followed by entombment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
