Obituary

William K. Puetz, III, a lifelong local area resident, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 61.
Son of the late William K. Puetz, Jr. and Angeline Cavo, Billy was born in Newburgh on November 7, 1953. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He most recently worked as a security guard for Chelsea Ridge Apartment Homes in Wappingers Falls.
For most of his life, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Black Rock Fish & Game Club.
Bill is survived by his children, Sarahlee Brown (Wade), Terahlee Davis (Benjamin), Karen Puetz, and William Puetz; his granddaughter, Millie McKeon; his siblings, Rosie Romer, Marlene Puetz, Emma Davis (Richard), Lottie Seven (Charles), James Puetz, and Alexander Puetz; and many other relatives & friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, April Marie Miraman, on July 9, 2015, and was also predeceased by his siblings, Francine LaComb, Ronald Puetz, and Michael Puetz.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Newburgh Woodlawn Cemetery Association, 93 Union Avenue, New Windsor. The U.S. Navy will conduct Military Honors.
