William Frederick Seitz, Sr., 88, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 in Cumming, GA.  Born in New Rochelle on September 8, 1921, he was a longtime resident of East Fishkill.  He served in World War II with the United States Air Force in the Pacific.  In 1986, he retired as Superintendent of the Fresh Air Fund Camp complex in Fishkill.  He was a former member of the East Fishkill Fire Company and Bethel Baptist Church, East Fishkill.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine Gamba Seitz.  Other family members include son and daughter-in-law, William Seitz, Jr. and Dawn Seitz of Woodridge, IL and daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Seitz Yackel and Dan Yackel of Cumming, GA.  Grandchildren include Crystal, Tiffany, William III and Stephen Seitz of Woodridge, IL and Steffanie and Ryan Yackel of Cumming, GA.  Other survivors include sister-in-law Dolores Sabol, Tupelo, MS and brother-in-law Bernard Gamba, East Fishkill.  Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Calling hours will be held on Friday October 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24 at Bethel Baptist Church, 511 Shenandoah Road, Hopewell Junction, with Rev. Ralph Verdu officiating.  Interment will follow at Shenandoah Rural Cemetery.
