William Shampnoi's Obituary
William Shampnoi, 86, passed away on January 16, 2024 at Putnam Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brewster, NY.
Born in Yonkers, NY on December 26, 1937, Bill was the son of the late Russell and Olga (Zulinsky) Shampnoi. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1955-1958. Bill owned and operated Elecomm in Hawthrone, NY until his retirement.
He was a licensed pilot and owned his own airplane. He also enjoyed camping. Bill will be remembered as a fantastic and generous brother and uncle, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brother, John Shampnoi and his wife Janice; his nieces and nephews, John Shampnoi and his wife Jenifer, JoAnn Lamantia and her husband Phil, and Jeffrey Shampnoi; and his great-nieces, Kaitlyn Lamantia, Nicole Lamantia, and Renee Shampnoi.
Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY on Tuesday January 23, 2024 from 11-12 pm followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY with military honors.
