Obituary

STANFORDVILLE - William Angelo Spano, 27, a lifelong area resident passed away suddenly on November 5, 2022.

Born in Mount Kisco on January 6, 1995, he was the son of William Anthony Spano and Mary (O'Regan) Spano Cody.

William cherished family and community above all else. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need and offer a shoulder to cry on. He had a crooked smile that would brighten your day and a gentleness that led to soul-warming hugs. He found peace in the outdoors and was an avid hiker. He cultivated many gardens over the years as he enjoyed watching his plants flourish from his labor. He collected gems and antiques because he found them beautiful and wanted to share them with those close to him. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend who was called away from us too soon. He will be remembered always.

In addition to his parents, William is also survived by his sisters, Lucia Spano, Courtney Spano, Ashley Spano and Shannon Cody; his nephews, Ezra, Greyson, Mason, and Milli; his grandmother, Cynthia Spano; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; including his family in England and Ireland.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 13th from 2-6pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 5:30pm.

Memorial donations may be made to Mental Health America. Please visit William's book of memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
