Obituary

Lagrangeville – William E. Tracy, 75, a resident of Lagrangeville for 45 years and formerly of Mount Vernon, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Mount Vernon on May 26, 1938, he was the son of Lawrence and Evelyn Shaw Tracy. He was a guide and a shooting instructor at Tamarack Preserve until his retirement in 2011. He was an organizer for the Wednesday Sporting Clay Group, an active NRA member as well as an avid sportsman.

On August 24, 1957 in NYC, he married Linda Gaba who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Sherryl Devine and her husband Dennis of Middleburg, FL, Bonnie Tracy and her fiancé Peter Salotto of Wingdale and Ronda Devido and her husband Dean of Beacon; his 7 grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Tracie Lee, Ashleigh Devine, Cynthia Shaw, Gary Shaw, Dawn Devido and Dean Devido, Jr.; and his 3 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Tracy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home officiated by Fr. Edwin Cromey. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
