William F. Vaculik passed away at home on November 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Yonkers, NY on April 10, 1941, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Kmetz) Vaculik. In February 1984 he married his loving wife Barbara. Together they shared many years of love and laughter.
William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1962-1968.
Prior to relocating to Dutchess County he owned and operated Vac's Electric in Weschester. Until his retirement he worked as an electrical engineer/designer for various local companies.
In addition to spending time with his family, there was nothing he loved more than finding great deals at garage sales. His family lovingly refers to him as a "stuff collector" or an "acquisition engineer." He loved model railroading, camping, fishing, and boating.
Besides his wife Barbara, William is survived by his six children: William (Beth), John (Adrienne), Thomas, Matthew (Melissa), Michael (Joany) and Laura (Paul); as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his brother Frank.
