William J. Zizzo (Bill), 69, an area resident for more than 40 years and formerly of East Rockaway, died on December 28, 2020 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Born in Brooklyn on May 2, 1951, he was the son of William and Carmella (Sciarratta) Zizzo. Bill proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had worked for the Indian Point Energy Center as an Electronic Technician for 33 years until his retirement in 2012. Bill loved to golf and enjoyed his time at the Beekman Country Club.

On November 4, 1979, Bill married Rosemary Postiglione who survives at home. He is also survived by his children Billy Zizzo and Deirdre Challan, Jessica Zizzo and Kyle McMahon and Danielle Zizzo-Warren and Ethan Warren; his grandsons Miles and Evan Zizzo and Andrew Warren; his mother in law, Rose Postiglione; his siblings and their spouses, Angela Reich and Rudy Nolfo, John and Nancy Zizzo, Gerard Postiglione and Li Fang Zhang, Andrea and Joe Tortorella, Gina and Phil Sansone; his nieces and nephews Brendan and Katherine Reich, Anthony and Kara Sansone, Geena Tortorella and Craig Spataro, Alyssa Tortorella and Benji Schallop, Phil Sansone, and Sierra, Zoe and Kira Zizzo and many other loving family members and friends.
