Winifred W. Carcaterra, 89, of Clifton Park and formerly of Yonkers, died on August 27, 2013 at the Wesley Healthcare Center in Saratoga Springs.
Born in the Bronx on July 28, 1924, she was the daughter of Jacob and Isabella Coleman Farnan. She was employed as a representative for New York Telephone for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1985.
Winifred was predeceased by her husband Peter Anthony Carcaterra Jr.in 1984. She is survived by her children, Winifred Frank and husband Anthony of Ballston Spa, Peter Anthony Carcaterra III of Hollywood, FL and Frank Carcaterra of Saratoga; her brother, Bill Farnan of Daytona Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jean F. Kunze.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10am-12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be at 12pm followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
