Yuberkis Altagracia Banks, 56, who was lovingly called "Jubie" by her family and friends, died on November 28, 2024 at Hudson Valley Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Esperanza, Dominican Republic on October 22, 1968, she was the daughter of Candida (Hernandez) Banks and the late Jose Roberto Banks. Jubie was employed as a bus driver for the Arlington Central School District for 22 years. She also was a Fitness Instructor at Gold's Gym in LaGrangeville.

Jubie was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville. She loved the outdoors and would often be found hiking on Mount Beacon and along the Hudson River. She was also extremely athletic, competing regularly in Tough Mudders, 5ks and Spartan races.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her son, Tyler Cusumano; her siblings, Miriam Hernandez, Olga Landa, Domingo Banks, Yobany Banks-McKay, Daysi Banks, Robert Banks and Joselyn Banks; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 11am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
