Obituary for Fred R Tucciarone

Fred R. Tucciarone, 83, a resident of Union Vale since 1989 and formerly of New Rochelle, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at his home with his family at his side.

Born in New Rochelle on May 1, 1930, he was the son of Angelo and Ernestina Mazzucco Tucciarone. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was employed as a firefighter for the City of New Rochelle for 28 years until his retirement in 1989. Fred was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

On October 3, 1953 at St. Mary’s Church in Stamford, CT, Fred married Louise Kersten who predeceased him on March 10, 2013. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Diane and Joseph Imperiale of Fishkill, John and Patricia Tucciarone of Union Vale; and his grandchildren, Jason Imperiale, Steven and Lauren Imperiale, Jessica Imperiale, and Lauren Tucciarone.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Hospice Foundation, Inc.
