Obituary for Theresa "Teddy" McGann (Manco)

Theresa “Teddy” McGann, a Fishkill resident since 2005, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 103 years old.
Daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Loconto) Manco, she was born in the Bronx on September 27, 1912.
On November 9, 1940, she married Andrew J. McGann at St. Mary’s Church in the Bronx. Teddy was predeceased by her husband in 1989.
She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Met Life Insurance Co. in the Bronx.
She is survived by her son, Greg McGann & his wife Carol; her granddaughters, Susan Hasandjekaj & her husband Eddie and Heather Valdez & her husband Jim; her great-grandchildren, Deanna, Danielle, and Justin; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Teddy was also predeceased by her siblings, Louise Parini, Marie Vetrano, Jean Maffucci, Carmella Aglione, and Alfred Manco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
