Obituary for Ingeborg Hughes Davis (Rau)

Ingeborg Hughes Davis, 82, an area resident since 1959, died on August 24, 2018.
Born in Mannhiem, Germany on March 15, 1936, she was the daughter of Ludwig and Else (Eschelbach) Rau. She was the older sister to one brother, Peter.
In 1958 she met the love of her life Howard Hughes on a blind date. They were married on December 14, 1958 in Mannheim, Germany. Soon after that they settled in
Wiccopee NY.
Ingeborg’s greatest love was her faith. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1969. Inge and Howard spent much time together in the door to door
ministry. She was dearly loved by all of her spiritual brothers and sisters.
Inge was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Howard Hughes in 2005. She remarried Rick Davis in 2007. They were married for 7 years until he lost his battle with cancer in 2014.
Ingeborg was a perfectionist when it came to fashion. Even at 82 years old she wore heels to the grocery store! She was always put together from head to toe. She loved to garden and watch the flowers bloom from all her hard work. She also cherished Benny the cat who was her constant companion until the end.
Ingeborg is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Mark Mulvihill ofRexford; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan and Rhyse Mulvihill of Rexford. Her stepson Ryan Davis and family from Hopewell Jct.
A funeral discourse will be given at the Fishkill Kingdom Hall at 383 All Angels Hill Rd, Hopewell Jct. NY on September 8, 2018 at 4pm.
