Obituary for Ronald A. Villegas

Ronald A.  Villegas
Ronald A. Villegas, 89, a Dutchess County resident for 42 years and previously of the Bronx, died on September 5, 2018 at home.
Born on March 10, 1929 in the Bronx, Ronald was the son of Rosendo and Rose (Wroth) Villegas.
Ronald was a commercial photographer for BBDO in New York City for 12 years. After he retired from BBDO, he went on to work for IBM in Poughkeepsie, Metro North in Croton and Wappingers Central School District. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of Valley Christian Church in Hopewell Junction and of the American Legion Post 739 in Pleasant Valley. He was also a member of many national and local photograph organizations. He was a deacon at New Covenant Church, now called Valley Christian Church.
On December 31, 1971 in the Bronx, Ronald married Maureen Scott who survives at home. In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his children, Ronald and his wife Sandy of NJ, Denis and his wife Amy of NJ, Susan Mayorga of Pleasant Valley, Edward and his wife Gabi of Wappingers Falls and David of Brooklyn; his grandchildren, Alexander, Aidan, Jesse, Gabriel, Joshua, Vanessa (Ty), Chelsea (Rob), Cori (Anthony), Michael and Joseph; his 5 great grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Dearbeck; his niece, Wendy; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rosemary Gould Villegas; his siblings, Dolores Gould, Marjorie Grieco and Frederick Villegas.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
