Terri was always an inspiration to me. She had a heart for all of God's least wanted creatures. She took in the strays that no one wanted, and fed the pigeons that had been abandoned years ago by a neighbor. She lovingly cared for her father, and tried to find humor in some of his behaviors when he started to sink into dementia. I loved talking to her. She had strong opinions and was happy to share them, and she did it with gusto. She was so tiny, but so fiesty! I guess that is what got her through 20 years working in the prison system. I had the chance to have dinner with her twice this past year and so enjoyed her company and outlook on life. She loved doing crossword puzzles and I would leave my newspapers for her so that she could do them. I knew something was wrong when the papers I had left were not taken in. I called her good friend Rita when the papers were still there the next day and that is when I found out that she had died. We would speak all the time when she went on her prayer walks, and I will so miss her. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
