Obituary for Louis Balducci

Louis Balducci
Louis Balducci, 87, an area resident since 1965 and previously of Long Island, died Sunday, August 26, 2018.

Born on April 5, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, Louis was the son of Louisa Colucci Balducci and Saverio Balducci.

On June 14, 1953, Louis married the love of his life, Jean Lang. They were lovingly married for 58 years. She predeceased him on October 21, 2011. Lou continued to visit Jean every week and brought her flowers.

Lou graduated from the Metropolitan Vocational High School of Music & Performing Arts in New York City. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, and was also a member and Past Master of the Wappingers Masonic Lodge.

Lou was a Custom Home Builder and Developer throughout Dutchess County. He loved his trade and was the happiest when he was on the job, building or spending time with family and friends. Lou had the biggest smile that was very contagious. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed.
Lou is survived by his daughter, Jean of Wappingers Falls; his sons, Jim Balducci and John Balducci of Poughkeepsie; his daughter-in-law, Nancy Balducci of Wappingers Falls; his grandsons, Louis and Vincent Balducci; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Babe and Hank Seide; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by his son Louis Balducci on April 18, 2002.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA. Please visit Lou’s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
