STORMVILLE – Joseph J. Quercia, 76, loving husband, father, and poppy, a resident of Stormville, died at home on Thursday, July 28, 2011.

Born in Manhattan on March 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Charles and Francis Frank Quercia.

Joseph retired in 1996 after working for 37 years as a Lineman at Con Edison in Eastview.

On March 31, 1958, Joseph married Elfriede Ertl with whom he was married to for 53 years. Mrs. Quercia survives at home.

He is also survived by his children, Joann and her husband Michael Dalton, Christine and her husband Rich Hetland, and James and his wife Dawn Quercia; grandchildren Christopher Dalton, Dane, Paige, and Carlie Hetland, Kyle, Matthew and Juliet Quercia; his brother Charles Quercia of Vermont; and his sister Annabella Mehrman of Somers, New York.

Calling hours will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Fishkill Rural Cemetery with Military Honors.
