Message: This candle is lit in memory of a wonderful friend, Pat, who with her dear husband, Bernie, raised four of our babysitters who we loved dearly and helped us raise our children. It was fun to watch our children grow up, go off to college, and then have families of their own. And of course, our favorite roles was being Grandmothers. Pat was always there for me in joyful and sad times. I have precious memories, especially when she helped care for the children in the We Nurture with Joy Our Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers Program. Many fondly called her, the “Cookie Lady”. Pat loved all of the babies, children, and their moms and they loved her.
