I have a lot to share about my dad, but I'm saving the best parts for the eulogy I'm writing tonight. I hope to share a lot more stories with everyone at the wake too.
I just wanted to post on here to say how wonderful it has been experiencing such warmth from all the people whom my father has known and loved and befriended. I'm sort of like my dad in that I respond very calmly and logically to crisis. I'm also a lot like my mom in that I try to do everything myself and not ask for help. Well I've found that to be impossible what with all the generosity flooding into our house via phonecalls, visits, emails, baskets, etc., so many people genuinely offering "If there is anything at all I can do, just let me know." This makes it possible for us to focus on remembering my dad, and not just mourning his death but celebrating his life. Thank you. My dad had good taste in people.
